The food was delicious and hot. We had Chicken with Vegetables and Almonds and Shrimp Egg Foo Young. The service was timely. Highly recommended!

This was the best Chinese food around for decades with great pricing. Now the food is fair but the pricing has skyrocketed

Just ok....used to be a lot better but prices have gone up and quality down since change of hands.

Great spot for Chinese food. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable and the staff is attentive and helpful. I'll definitely be returning to this place at some point.

Delicious food and short wait times!

Awesome food and service, and decently priced. I'd recommend the burgers, too. Best burgers I've ever had out of any restaurant I've been to. The only downside would be their wait times. Can be a pretty slow-long wait.

The quality has went down over the past few years while the price has went up.

Absolute horrible experience. Grew up eating great food but the last few years it's all been a terrible Chinese cuisine disaster. Since Feb. 2018 their website has been down and not renewed due to price changes. Upon complaint of the price changes, and no notification of total sale price with pick up order confirmation, I paid about $20 more than I expected. Not only was I over charged, the food was over cooked. Upon lodging my complaint, the manager said I had a menu from 10 years ago to pay that much more. Poor food, poor service, and very poor complaint management. Very dissatisfied with this local business that I grew up with.

Food I found to be pretty good nothing exceptional. One problem I did have is I ordered "dry garlic ribs" and they were wet and horrible. I do believe Yins could learn how to do true "dry garlic ribs" from the Oriental on Market St. in Brantford their "dry garlic ribs" are dry and FABULOUS!!

Stopped by Yin's tonight and the stop was so worth it ....Egg roll recipe is out of world...Seriously!!Bravo to the house cook....prep cooks ! The service was also fantastic..chicken chow main dish ,is delicious ..mmmm .

Since change has slowly gone downhill today sweet n sour is runny not thick genrral taos was not spicy n the prices are goin thru the roof will be going to simcoe from nowon

Great service, food and portions. We had the chicken balls, lemon chicken, rice and chow mein. No complainers here!

The wonton soup made my day!

Came back to waterford after 12 or more years to shoot a short film for my youtube fishing channel, Yins was our families usual Chinese food restaurant. I was happy the wonton soup I got during my stay was as I remembered (since I heard there may have been an ownership change) happy I went back!!

Rice tasted burnt and sweet and sour chicken balls were dried out and hard with very little chicken. Only positive thing was the service. First time there will also be our last

This is great Canadian chinese food. In my opinion best in the area. I've eaten here alot I've had to wait once longer than I would have liked but it was super busy. Great selection of food. Good service. A nice place to eat in large dining room. Fair pricing. I recommend the Singapore noodles.

First time visit and I liked it! Pleasantly accommodating with dietary restrictions for someone at our table, despite being quite busy at the time. The decor is basic but that's unimportant to me; the food and service were very good. Looking forward to returning sometime.

Always heard good things about Yin's, so stopped in today. SO disappointed! Chicken balls were doughy with very little chicken or sauce. Fried rice tasted burnt. Spring roll greasy and tasteless..The chicken with vegetables and almonds was ok.

We got take out. Had not been there in a while. Portions have gotten considerably smaller and the taste was not so good

It is clear to me that after the new owners took over and raised the prices they then either got cheap with the ingredients or went to different supplier. The food is almost inedible now compared to when Yins owned it and it is very noticeable. I wiil not be eating here anymore and I have been an 18 year customer. Shame on the new owners.

Has always been a great chinese food restaurant since I was a kid. New owners have change things slightly and the quality isn't quite what it used to be but it is still a place I would recommend to all of my friends.

Some places never change. New owners but regardless, this has always been and always will be my favourite Chinese food restaurant.

I like how there is a "diner" feel on one side and in another room a homey restaurant feel. Food is great. Must confess my favourite thing on the menu is a hamburger and onion rings. I can't begin to explain how good that burger is. I am not a big hamburger eater but wow. I always order it. And it's huge.

not even worth half a star any more. The take out orders of mine have been consistently messed up over the past while. Also very light handed on the plumb sauce now for what you used to get. Food is edible but recently meaning as far back in May i had a won ton soup so salty it would have knocked a horse clean over! Pick up the pace people! I do not want to see Yins close because of bad management and bad cooks. I have heard Yins has had it's share of ups and downs but I'm having second thoughts about going back. WE...the people who stop in are your paying customers. If staff continues to fail to recognize that this place could go down hill very fast and i don't want to see that happen. Yins is a land mark for many of us.

used to be amazing and would go there on a biweekly basis. new owners are NOT doing a good job. food has gone down hill, smaller portions, menu changes and price raises. I would not go there again. old owners were also much nicer and knew how to run a business!!

Many dishes are noticeably higher priced than similar restaurants in larger cities but food is tasty.

Great choice of menu selection and wonderful service

The last 4 times we have ordered from here. There has been a dish missing every time . We ordered this evening yet again missing one entree and chicken very fatty and undercooked . Prices have went up very high and food quality has gone down hill very quick, we will not be ordering from this place again very disappointed !

Zero service. After waiting 5 minutes to be told to seat ourselves, and having to ask for menus after staff walked by us for over 5minutes it was the further 10 minutes waiting for someone to take our order that made us decide to leave. When leaving, causally mentioned to a server they need to work on their service, I was told not his problem as his shift was done in 1 minute. Not the same experience it once was.

So I have tried eating there a few times since I moved back to Waterford, the Chinese food is definitely not as good as when it was owned by the Yin family. Actually I will not even order the Chinese food anymore, but I will order their burgers because they are still pretty good. The last time I ordered burgers, my wife wanted to try the "fried Cantonese noodles in sauce" because we all like them....usually....however they were absolutely gross! They were not fried at all, they were basically just boiled noodles with some sauce dumped on it... we ended up tasting it and throwing it out. I order my Chinese food from out of town now and just go pick it up.

Great memories here. Been going here since I was a young boy. Nicely priced food and it tasted great to!

didnt care for it....soo guy was too crispy...couldnt eat half of it....never got one lg won ton soup not worth no $100 thats for sure
